Ryo Omasa is a Japanese sport climber from Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture, JAPAN. He is known for being an exceptional speed climber and has made headlines when he became the first Japanese to reach the podium at a World Cup speed event when he received the bronze medal at the 2023 World Cup Villars competition. He has continued to take to the podium  by also placing third at the 2023 World Cup Wujiang event.
