China held the 2023 IFSC Climbing World Cup Wujiang final events in lead and speed climbing. Despite China consecutively canceling its previously hosted events in the last three years due to COVID, many fans were able to join together in Wujiang, CHINA to cheer on their favorite climbers who gathered together to compete in this years event. For more information about the details of the event, please check below.

Highlights from Climbing World Cup Wujiang

  • Coming in first place in women’s lead was Japan’s Ai Mori, with Austria’s Jessica Pilz coming in second place and Japan’s Natsuki Tanii taking the third place spot.
  • Japan’s team took the top three spots in men’s lead, with Sorato Anraku taking home the gold, Shion Omata with the silver and Taisei Homma with the bronze.
  • 1st place in women’s speed was China’s Lijuan Deng, followed by Poland’s Natalia Kalucka in 2nd place and China’s Di Niu in 3rd place.
  • 1st place in men’s speed was China’s Peng Wu, followed by China’s Jingjie Huang and Japan’s Ryo Omasa in 3rd place.
