France held two of the IFSC Climbing World Cup events in July 2023. The first took place at Place du Mont-Blance in Chamonix, France. Professional lead and speed climbers went toe-to-toe to compete for the top positions at the Climbing World Cup Chamonix event. For more information about the details of the event, please check out the details below.

Highlights from Climbing World Cup Chamonix

• Rajiah Sallsabillah from Indonesia took home the gold medal in women’s speed, followed by France’s Victoire Andrier with the silver medal and Indonesia’s Nurul Iqamah with the bronze medal.
• Rahmad Adi Mulyono from Indonesia took home the gold medal in men’s speed, followed by Kazakhstan’s Rishat Khaibullin with the silver medal and Indonesia’s Raharjati Nursamsa narrowly beating Japan’s Jun Yasukawa for the bronze medal.
• South Korea’s Jain Kim won the gold medal in women’s lead, with Japan’s Nonaha Kume taking home the silver medal and France’s Hélène Janicot the bronze medal.
• Great Britain’s Toby Roberts topped in the final securing him the gold in men’s lead, with France’s Sam Avezou taking home the Silver medal and Japan’s Sorato Anraku the bronze medal.
