Shion Omata is a professional Japanese sport climber from Tokyo, JAPAN. He started climbing at the popular climbing gym B-PUMP Ogikubo when he was in elementary school. When he was 15 years old he began focusing all his effort to practice lead climbing to participate in Lead Japan Cup (LJC). After winning the LJC, he became one of the youngest members of the JAPAN national climbing team and has been proving himself amongst his fellow compatriots with major wins in lead climbing.
