Samuel Richard started climbing when he was very young because his father is a bouldering coach. Now, he is a professional climber for the French National Climbing Team where he specializes in boulder. He has been competing in the youth competition circuit since 2022 and has since won two IFSC Youth European Championships. He made his debut on the international climbing scene in 2024 where he has won two bronze medals – one at the 2026 World Climbing Series in Madrid and another at the 2025 IFSC World Cup Prague event.
