Mao Nakamura

Mao Nakamura is one of Japan’s top competition climbers and a member of the Japan National Climbing Team where she competes in both boulder and lead climbing. She made her first international appearance in 2018 at the Summer Youth Olympics in Buenos Aires. Since then, she has been competing for multiple years on the international climbing circuit. She took home her first World Cup gold medal in 2025 at the IFSC World Cup Salt Lake City competition where she competed in women’s boulder.
