Euncheol Shin is a Korean professional climber who specializes in speed climbing. He is a member of South Korea’s national team and currently holds the Korean record for speed climbing: 5.434s. For the first 10 years of his climbing career he favored lead climbing, but in recent years he has focused his attention of speed climbing. Shin claims he enjoys speed climbing more because he can see his progress numberically and feels immense joy when he is able to break his own records.
