Alexander Megos is a professional German climber from Erlangen, Germany who started climbing at the age of six. He is a strong and versatile climber who has a passion for both competitive sport climbing and outdoor climbing. Since 2006, Megos has been participating in the competitive climbing world. He has won multiple national and international awards, including placing second at the 2019 Climbing World Championships in men’s lead. In regard to outdoor climbing, he has also accomplished major achievements by speedily ascending some of the most difficult climbing routes. For example, he is the first climber to on-sight a route graded 9a.
