Alberto Ginés López is a professional rock climber from Spain who is the 2020 Tokyo Olympics gold medalist in men’s combined. Although he competes in both boulder and lead climbing, his most notable awards have been in lead. At the junior level, he started making waves in the climbing community by winning silver at the 2017 IFSC-Climbing World Youth Championship (Lead). Since then he has won multiple awards and cemented himself in climbing history when he won at the first-ever climbing event at the Olympics in 2020.
